Real life

Well, I've been concentrating on school so I haven't been cross stitching much; I was also sick for a week and nothing sounding like fun. I hope to get back to it in the next few days; I can't wait to see how the first finished scene looks.

Aminidab - 24 plus hours

Well, I finished the first of three sections of Aminidab. Not a lot to see yet, but it's a start, and it only took 24 hours and 10 minutes. And this is any easy pattern - something tells me this is going to take even longer than I anticipated.

First scene

Well, I started the first scene, out of 45, the Lunette of Aminidab. I can see what a massive project this will be; I've worked for just over 11 hours and only have a small corner done. I'll post a picture soon, but it's only the background so there won't be much to see yet.

Beginning pictures

Well, I have my camera and took some pictures of the "pre" project supplies. My fabric is 28 count Lugana and is 55x90; the finished project will be about 40x80.

My brother bought me the pattern for my birthday and put it in a 3-ring binder.

And here are a couple of pages from the pattern - the Creation of Eve

I have a month before the next semester starts, and I hope to get a start on the first scene and get a good handle on the project.

Almost there

Well, I just ordered a digital camera so I could make a photo diary of the project. I was able to borrow others for some time, but that's not so simple right now. I should have it Monday or Tuesday so I can take a picture of the fabric and other supplies. I started grad school this spring so the progress may be in fits and starts when I have projects to do. Also, July in Florida is HOT so I might take it slow till it cools off.

I've joined the 21st century

Alright, I finally joined the new century. I've never blogged before, and I'm still not interested in posting random ramblings of my life. This blog is primarily to record my progress in crosstitching the Sisting Chapel. I will try to update regularly with pictures and progress. I haven't started the project yet, but I have the pattern and fabric. I hope to begin within the new few days.
